Salem is a unique town located on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Best known for its place in history as the site of the Salem Witch Trials in 1692, Salem is an intriguing historic locale perched on the rocky Atlantic shoreline. Salem today continues to prosper with many boutique shops that offer one-of-a-kind gifts and antiques; wonderful seafood restaurants and ethnic cuisine; and one of the finest art museums in the country: the Peabody Essex. Located just 16 miles north of Boston, Salem is easily reached via car, plane (Boston’s Logan Airport) or by The Salem Ferry.
