What time is check in? 

Our standard arrival time is 3:00 p.m.

Can I have an early check in?

If you arrive at the hotel before 3:00 p.m. we would be happy to provide you with a parking pass and hold your luggage if necessary. Unfortunately, we do not guarantee an early check in.

What time is check out?

Our standard departure time is 11:00 a.m.

Can I have a late check out?

The latest we can offer without a fee is 12:00 p.m.  Anything later than 12:00 p.m. would require a payment of another night’s room & tax.

Do you have an airport shuttle?

We do not; however, we recommend local car services and would be happy to schedule a pick up for you, or give you the contact information to schedule it yourself.

Do you allow pets?

We only permit Certified Service Animals in the hotel, and do require advance notice of any pets arriving. 

Do you have smoking rooms?

No. We are 100% non-smoking.  We do have a smoking area outside the main entrance of the hotel.  We have a $250.00 fee for smoking in the rooms. 

Do you have handicap accessible rooms?

Yes we do.  All of our rooms are accessible from the elevator. We have handicap accessible rooms with pull bars in the bathroom and in the step-in tub. We also feature a room with a roll in shower.  Please let an agent know in advance if you need a handicap accessible room.

Do you have a AAA Rate?

Yes. We offer AAA discounts for Sunday through Thursday reservations based on availability.  Discounts are not offered on Fridays & Saturdays.  This policy does not include October reservations.  Please see our October policy.

Do you have an AARP Rate?

 Yes. We offer AARP discounts for Sunday through Thursday reservations based on availability.  Discounts are not offered on Fridays & Saturdays.  This policy does not include October reservations.  Please see our October policy.

Do you have a Military Discount?

Yes. We offer military discounts for Sunday through Thursday reservations based on availability.  Discounts are not offered on Fridays & Saturdays.  This policy does not include October reservations.  Please see our October policy.

Do you have a Government Rate?

Yes. We offer government discounts for Sunday through Thursday reservations based on availability.  Discounts are not offered on Fridays & Saturdays.  This policy does not include October reservations.  Please see our October policy. 

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 72 hour cancellation policy.  If you cancel outside 72 hours (or 3 days) prior to your arrival date, your deposit is refundable less a $25.00 processing fee.  This policy does not include October reservations. Please see our October policy.

Will you charge my card now? (or Do you take a Deposit?)

Yes. We take an advanced Deposit of one night’s Room & Tax at the time the reservation is made.  This policy does not include October reservations. Please see our October policy.

What is your October Deposit & Cancellation policy?

We have a 14 day (or 2 week) cancellation policy for all October midweek reservations.   For all reservations, we take a deposit of one night’s Room & Tax.  Any reservations cancelled less than 14 days prior to the arrival date will lose the deposit. For reservations booked for October weekend nights, Fridays and Saturdays, deposits are non-refundable. All cancellations will incur a $25.00 processing fee.

Do you have a pool?

Yes! We have an indoor heated pool for our guests to enjoy. The pool is located on our ground floor.

Our pool is open to overnight guests of the hotel between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.  We do provide towels in the pool area for guest use.  We ask that guests wear shoes/sandals/slippers at all times through our lobby area for safety.

At this time we do not sell passes for residents of the sorounding area.

Do you have a hot tub?

We do not have a hot tub.  We have an indoor heated pool for our guests to enjoy.

Can my children bring pool toys?

Unfortunately, for safety reasons, we do not allow pool toys.  We do allow children to wear life jackets and/or float vests that strap to the child.

Can we eat in the pool area?

We do not allow food or alcohol in the pool area.  Absolutely no glass containers are allowed in the pool area.

Do you have a gym?

Yes! We have a fitness room available for guests to use on our second floor. It is open between the hours of 5:00am and 11:00pm.

Do you have water views?

The Salem Waterfront Hotel & Suites is located in the historic Waterfront Area of Pickering Wharf.  Walking distance from both the Pickering Wharf Marina and Pickering Wharf, which houses our resident tall ship – The Friendship, we are just steps away from scenic views of the Waterfront.  However, we are inland from the water line and do not have unobstructed water views. 

Do you have stocked mini-bars in the room?

We do not offer stocked mini-bars in our guest rooms.  Our complimentary in-room amenities include: Salem Waterfront Hotel bottles of water, Keurig brewer K-cups, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, & bar soap.  Additional amenities available for purchase with Guest Services. 

Do you have a continental breakfast?

No. We have a full service restaurant in house – The Regatta Pub.

Do you have safes in the rooms?

Not at this time, however we do have safety deposit boxes available if you wish to lock something behind our Front Desk.

How close are you to the area attractions?

We are located in the heart of Salem.  We are a 10 minute walk, or less, from all of the Salem Attractions.  Our agents are happy to provide you with local area maps, directions, and contact information for any of the attractions.

Do you have parking?

Yes. We offer free parking to all of our overnight guests. We allow one (1) vehicle per guest room in our main parking lot, and have additional parking available just a minutes walk away. Please see our Front Desk to register your vehicle, they will be happy to direct you to the appropriate area.

I have an RV or oversized vehicle, where can I park?

Oversized vehicles may park in our additional parking lot on Congress Street, but must still register with the Front Desk.

I am attending an event at the hotel, where can I park?

Please see a parking attendent on your arrival to the hotel, as they will direct you to the appropriate parking area.
